The high school was built in 1907 (the same year with Đong Kinh Nghia Thuc high school) because of the location - Thanh Đuc village (39 Trung Nhi street, Đuc Nghia ward, Phan Thiết city nowadays). 1910, teacher Truong Gia Moi introduced Nguyen Tat Thanh to came Phan Thiet and worked at this school The school had about 60 students and 7 teachers of Chinese literature, France literature, physical education…Nguyen Tat Thanh touch junior class, mostly about national language and Chinese literature

Ong pagoda is considered as the most ancient and largest one of the Chinese in Binh Thuan, which is located Duc Nghia ward, Phan Thiet city. According to the document in Spirit Family or the traces carved on the girder of the sanctum top, the pagoda was built in 1770.The pagoda includes a row of houses creating majesty general building on a rather large area. The girders of the pagoda are elaborately carved and there are pairs of vermillion lacquered and gilded wood panels on the columns. There are also many wood carving paintings that describes classic references in a vivid way. In the sanctum, many details are carved meticulously, which deeply carries out Chinese architecture.

The overall architecture here is initialized from a large Chinese temple built to worship Quan Cong (Quan Thanh De Quan – Quan Van Truong mandarin in the time of the Three kingdoms). In Dai Nam Nhat Thong Chi Book , episode 12, it is called "Quan Cong Temple" , exactly to the name at that time. Nowadays, in the entrance of the pagoda, there is a signboard carrying three words “ Quan Thanh Mieu” written on it. Furthermore, inside the pagoda, they have worshiped only the statue of Quan Thanh De Quan together with other statues, but not Budda; besides there have been no head monks here. But among the masses of people from the old day until now, both the Vietnamese and Chinese people have been used to calling it “Ong pagoda”. The pagoda has an architecture and decorative style of Chinese art. The successsive blocks create the word "Kim".

The most interesting point in the architecture of the temple is the system of pillars, horns elaborately carved rafter, somewhat sharp and very similar in technical carved temples of Vietnam. All main columns are hung pairs of vermillion lacquered and gilded wood panels on. The most fantastic point is the paintings that describe Chinese classic references in eighteenth century. There are many striking pictures moved from China in the early of twentieth century. Moreover, there are nearly 100 pictures with different styles and contents in the pagoda.

Lau Ong Hoàng includes a collection of hills and mountains, rivers and sea, temples…which contribute to an area of tourist attraction. Co mountain is quite high and there are 4 hills going up and down near the sea. Among them, Co mountain, Ba Nai hill, Phu Hai estuary and the ancient fishing village which is about 7 kilometers to the Northeast of Phan Thiet, are the most beautiful places.

In 1911, a French duke – De Montpensier visited here and went for a hunt in some adjacent hills. When he saw the wonderful scenery of this landscape, he had the idea of buying this land and built a villa in order to take a rest during his later trips and hunting here. His aspiration was accepted by a French authority in Bình Thuận (ambassador Ganier). He agreed to sell Bà Nài hill for him.

On January 21st, 1911, the villa was built and finished nearly a year after that. The villa is about 536 square meters and divided into 13 rooms. It was located near the Chăm Pôshanư tower, about 100 meters to the South. While conveying the building materials, they damaged the wall at the front main door. This is a beautiful villa with convenient facilities. There are an electric generator at night and many reservoirs keeping rain-water enough for use during a year, which is considered as the most modern in Bình Thuận at that time. Since that, Phan Thiết people got used to call this hill, which was built by ambassador De Montpensier, as “Lầu ông Hoàng” . In July, 1917, the ambassador sold this villa for a French hotel owner – Prasetts… After the appearance of Lầu Ông Hoàng, a French named Bell constructed Ngọc Lâm hotel in a nearby hill to serve the French. Many years later, when the famous Vietnamese poet – Hàn Mạc Tử came here and had some unforgettable memories, “Lầu ông Hoàng” become more and more meaningful to many people. In the anti-French resistance war, the villa was destroyed. Nowadays, there are only the foundation of the villa, reservoirs and memories in Phan Thiết local people left.

Also, at “Lau Ong Hoang”, the French army built a system of military posts with many steel rod block houses to dominated Phan Thiet county town.

On June 14th, 1947, a great battle of a squad belonging to Hoàng Hoa Thám combat unit happened. It was commanded by the comrade Nguyễn Minh Châu. They wiped out many enemies, withdrew many weapons including a machine gun Vitke, a light machine gun and many other war booties. Then, Vietnamese usually called it as the Lầu ông Hoàng victory.

Poshanu Cham Towers, located on Ong Hoang (Mr Heaven) Hill - 7 km to the northeast of Phan Thiet City, are one of the most precious and important cultural vestiges of the Champa Kingdom. Beside three main towers, there was once a temple, but it has been buried in the ground for more than 300 years. Inside the main tower, there is still a symbol of the genitals of men and women, which is worshipped by the Cham. They are called Linga and Yoni.

This is the only Cham architectural work in Phan Thiet. It was built 1,200 years ago. However, there are only three towers remaining (main tower, medium tower, and small tower). Inside the main tower, there are stone altars of Linga and Yoni. They are the symbol of Shiva with many carved and sculptured patterns reflecting existence and growth of Cham reproduction. In some documents in the late of 19th century, there was a stone bull in the medium tower, but the stone bull disappeared. Today, these towers belong to Cham villages of Ma Lam, Ham Tri, and Ham Phu. Annually, local people from other places come to Poshanu Towers to conduct religious ceremonies. In recent years, since this monument was remodeled and restored, the level of visiting and ritual performace of the Cham has been increasing.

During Kate festival, at Poshanu Cham Towers, the atmosphere here is so exciting. The Cham group holds important ritual customs and featuring festive activities. Tourists from everywhere come here to visit, explore and admire traditional features of Cham culture.

Poshanu Cham Towers were recognized as national architectural and artistic monument.
